California Statehood 175th Anniversary
September 9, 2025 - California commemorated the 175th anniversary of its admission to the Union. Known as Admission Day, the occasion marks the historic signing of “An Act for the Admission of the State of California into the Union” by President Millard Fillmore in 1850. As the 31st state, California's entry was part of the Compromise of 1850 — a pivotal moment in U.S. history.
To honor this milestone, Laser Space Cannon lit up the skies with a dazzling display featuring 31 Laser Space Cannons — one for each star on the flag at the time of California’s admission. The synchronized spectacle paid tribute to the Golden State’s legacy of innovation, diversity, and bold spirit.
